Against my better judgement

I'm back at it. For the fans. Still gonna be mostly race/adventure focus. But this time you get a quick hit of the past couple months. Just a couple lines. Might sound trite, but true (not in any particular order).

Figured out that money comes and goes and comes back again.
Some things in life just aren't worth fighting for. Some things you fight tooth and nail for.
Happiness isn't always where you expect to find it.
Some times you have to do the hard thing, to discover the best thing.
Family is all you got. And if your lucky, your friends become a part of your family.
Hard work does pay off...but it usually makes you tired.
Forenzas are not cool.

LIFE IS GOOD.

And that's all folks.

Races scheduled:

Shamrock 5k. Completed. Bad time, but fantastic day. Friends make bad races better.
Rocky Gap Adventure Race. April 27th. Jimmie, Zack, Cameron. All vets. All ready to have a go at the same course as my duathlon (same forest).
Frederick Halfy. May 4th. Hope to be ready this go 'round.
24 Hours of Big Bear. June. For the billionth consecutive time (okay, more like 7th). Same crew. ETD.
JFK 50. November. Don't ask.

I had grander aspirations this year. Mainly more AR's, but my new job has taken precedence over the quantity of training I'd like to do. It's all about making adjustments. I view my life like one big adventure race these days. Lots of ups and downs, but ultimately it stays the course and it's always fun.

Here we go again - Race Schedule 2008

I have compiled some of the best athletes around the globe to review the RideCam race schedule for 2008. Some of these beasts I have had the pleasure of going to battle with all over the greater Mid-Atlantic area and beyond. Others are relative newcomers to the game, but have a keen sense of the glory which can be bestowed after slaying the demon known as competition.

Last year: Our numbers grew and we grew stronger. We looked beyond ourselves into other realms of the adventurous world of sport. We took the absurd and made it tangible. We drank more beer than any other living human.

This year
: We awaken the sleeping giant that all athletes have feared. Oh, and have a shit ton more fun (I believe "shit ton" is metric) and drink more beer.

The schedule I devised incorporates all the disciplines I've come to love as a nut-jobber. Also, I've attempted to weave in events that everyone I've emailed would appreciate, because I enjoyed racing/training/talking trash with every single one of you.

On to the schedule. Only those races in bold are set in stone. Otherwise, I'm up for any changes suggestions, because I never get anything right the first go-round.
